Probably. I have adult ADHD and tend to have trouble following through on things I start. But I’m going to give this a go.
So my whole life I have been a science nerd. Growing up as a kid with undiagnosed ADHD, I noticed *everything* around me. And I wanted to know how everything worked. This lead to a lot of experimenting: whether it was mixing random stuff from the bathroom cupboard together, catching frogs, attempting to invent my own cake mixes, when I used up the ones that came with my Easy Bake Oven (Flour, water and sugar, put into an easy bake oven do not make a cake. They make dried paste.).
At the same time, I was also a geek. My dolls lived in castle on another planet and acted out Space Operas. I made paper dolls to fit in with these stories, or hand sewed little dresses out of scraps for my Strawberry Shortcake knock-off dolls. I broke up a hunk of amethyst I was given, and used wire from the garage to twist little tiaras for the dolls to.
So here I am, an adult, and I still like to do this sort of thing. Only my experiments tend to be in the garden and the kitchen. My doll outfit making impulses find an outlet in cosplay and the occasional stuffed animal made from scraps. I don’t have the greatest fine motor skills, but I like to make stuff, and Mr. Ivriniel has promised one day to teach me how to use his sewing machine.
So anyways, I intend for this blog to chronicle my various projects. Let’s see how it goes.
